The new urban area project in Duong Kinh and Kien Thuy district is one of the important infrastructure works, contributing to urban embellishment, socio -economic development in the south of Hai Phong city. Speeding up the site clearance is a prerequisite for deploying investment items on schedule and set goals.
Duong Kinh District People's Committee issued Decision No. 1630/QD-UBND dated July 29, 2024 on land acquisition to implement the project. The tallying and determining the origin of the land and the organization of compensation and support have been transparently implemented and in the right order. Up to now, the majority of households in the area have complied with and receive compensation and handover to the construction unit. However, the remaining a number of households and individuals using 10 land plots in Hoa Nghia ward have not agreed to hand over, although they have been mobilized and propagated for a long time.
On March 14, 2025, Chairman of Duong Kinh District People's Committee issued a decision to enforce land acquisition for cases of failure. The coercion was held from 7:30 on April 15, the coercion process took place safely and in the right order.
The representative of Duong Kinh district emphasized that the coercion is the last measure after fulfilling the steps in accordance with the land legal process. The district government wants people to continue to agree and coordinate to implement the project favorable, ensuring legitimate rights and harmony between the State and the people.
