The locality will enforce land recovery for cases with land in the area of social housing project implementation in An Binh Tan Urban Area, with a total area of about 6.5 hectares.
Nam Nha Trang Ward People's Committee requested people to harvest aquatic products and stop releasing new farming in the An Binh Tan project area.
People had to dismantle illegal constructions and parking lots and carry out forced land recovery for many households in Dong Muoi II area (residential group 2, Phuoc Thanh, Nam Nha Trang ward).
At the same time, the ward also established a Board for Enforcement, approving the organization plan and arranging forces to ensure security and order during the implementation process.
In October 2025, Khanh Hoa province approved businesses as investors in a number of social housing projects with investment capital of thousands of billions of VND.
To serve this project, the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward carried out compulsory land recovery.
Nam Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that the enforcement was carried out in accordance with the correct procedures and authority according to the provisions of law. The goal is to reclaim the site to complete the connection of technical infrastructure for the entire An Binh Tan Urban Area.
People think it is not enough to enforce the law
Currently, there are still some households in the Dong Muoi II area that do not agree and think that the enforcement is not legally enough.
Mr. Nguyen Van Bon, one of the affected households, has filed a lawsuit with the People's Court of Area I, Khanh Hoa province, requesting to cancel the Decision of the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward on compulsory land recovery.
In the lawsuit, he said that the family had not received compensation, support and resettlement arrangements according to regulations; the approved compensation plan did not ensure the legitimate rights of the person whose land was recovered. He also pointed out that the complaint to the authorities had not been completely resolved before.
Regarding the An Binh Tan project in 2011, the Government Inspectorate also identified a number of violations in compensation and site clearance for this project.
