Eliminating prejudice by standards and transparency

At the press conference announcing the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Day and VARS AWARDS 2026 held on May 5 in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association said that the core issue of the current market is not only liquidity or supply, but more deeply, it is necessary to restore social trust in the brokerage profession. According to Mr. Dinh, if society, consumers and management agencies want to see the brokerage profession in a different position, then the practitioners themselves must change comprehensively, from awareness, role to operating methods.

First of all, to gain trust with society, brokers must change a lot, from trends, institutions, roles... Including the trust of society, the market, consumers and even state management agencies in the profession," Mr. Dinh said.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Realtors emphasized that it is time to eliminate the names that have existed for many years such as "land brokers", "real estate brokers" - prejudices that show that the brokerage profession has not yet been properly recognized as an important link in the market.

According to him, to remove these prejudices, the only way is to professionalize the brokerage team. Professionalism should not only stop at sales skills, but must be built on the foundation of professional standards, professional ethics and transparency in information.

Brokers must have standards and ethics. Among those standards, they must comply, grasp and integrate with trends and institutions. Currently, the very clear trend is digital transformation, technology transformation. In particular, transparency and data must be improved. We cannot do otherwise but must follow suit," Mr. Dinh said.

According to Mr. Dinh, this is also the reason why the Vietnam Association of Realtors chose the theme "Standards - Transparency - Digital Age" for this year's Day. This theme shows the determination of the association organization and the entire brokerage community in moving towards standardizing operations, information transparency and being ready to enter a more modern practice method.

Mr. Dinh said that this year's Festival is not only an occasion to honor but also a milestone to review the capacity and transformation efforts of the entire brokerage community. Here, the Organizing Committee will select and honor typical individuals and organizations - representatives who are taking the lead in the process of moving towards higher standards, more professional and more effective for the market.

After the Day, we will continue to promote propaganda, training, complete textbooks and materials, and promote businesses and exchanges to apply the promulgated professional standards. When everyone is aware and complies with these standards, it will create substantive changes for the market," Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh affirmed.

National-scale festival promoting the standardization of brokerage profession

Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Day and VARS AWARDS 2026 are annual national-scale events towards celebrating the Traditional Day of Vietnam Real Estate Brokers on June 29.

In 2026, the program is organized in Can Tho city with the theme "Standards - Transparency - Digital Age". This year marks the 11th year the program has been organized after more than a decade of maintenance. The event has become a meeting point for the brokerage community across the country, a place to meet, connect, spread professional spirit and honor individuals and organizations who have made positive contributions to the market.

According to the Vietnam Association of Realtors, the biggest goal after the Day is not only to honor but also to spread the spirit of standards, transparency and professionalism to the entire professional community.
