On March 11, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a plan for auctioning land use rights in 2025 in the province.
In particular, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to organize the auction of land use rights for 17 land plots and plots of land/168.23 hectares with a value according to the land price list of over VND 2,172 billion.
Of which, the Hoa An quarry land in Hoa An ward, Bien Hoa city (commercial and service land) has an area of 369.512.9 m2 (nearly 37 hectares), with a land price list value of more than 500 billion VND, and is scheduled to be auctioned in September 2025.
To organize the auction, the authorities of Dong Nai province are carrying out tasks such as: Completing the boundary of the land plot map, providing planning information and expected total investment, appraisal and approval of the auction plan, determining the authority to approve the starting price, submitting for issuance of the auction decision, selecting the auction organization, posting auction information, assessing the capacity conditions of auction participants and organizing the auction.

In Dong Nai province, abandoned quarries are very dangerous, exploited vertically, creating deep avocados that are difficult to renovate and flood. The depth of the mines is about 50 - 80 m, especially the stone mine in Hoa An ward, Bien Hoa city is up to 100 m deep.
At the end of 2022, a group based in Hanoi proposed to implement a project to renovate 4 quarries Tan Hanh, Hoa An, Buu Hoa, Tan Van into urban, service, and eco-tourism resort areas with a total capital of about VND9,000 billion.
According to the investor's proposal, the 4 quarries are divided into 4 areas including theme parks; high-end villas along the lake; health care, therapy, resorts; conference areas, commercial centers.
When completed, the project can meet the housing needs of about 12,000 people, creating a modern tourism service area for the city.
