On December 29, the project to renovate and rebuild blocks A, B, C of Dong Da apartment complex (Phu Nhuan ward, Hue city) officially started.
Accordingly, Dong Da apartment building was built in the 70s and 80s of the last century. The apartment building infrastructure does not have a fire protection system, utilities, or entertainment to serve the residents living here.
The airspace between the rows of houses has many spontaneous constructions of households. The paths serving firefighting, rescue and relief work are encroached, posing unpredictable risks.
The expansion and construction of additional works make Hue's urban appearance shabby, reduce the life of the works, and pose a risk to the safety of the community living here.
Therefore, the reconstruction of the above-mentioned project is very necessary and urgent, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems and ensure the synchronization of infrastructure, beautifying the new urban face for the people in the province, city in general and residents of Dong Da area in particular.
In September 2023, Thua Thien Hue province issued a decision approving the policy of building and renovating Dong Da apartment complex in the direction of high-rise apartments, commercial apartments combined with business and service areas. A consortium of 3 investors (now Dong Da Development and Investment Joint Stock Company) is the investor of the project "Renovating and rebuilding blocks A, B, C of Dong Da apartment complex".
Dong Da Development and Investment Joint Stock Company has coordinated with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, departments, branches, Hue City People's Committee and authorities at all levels to develop an on-site resettlement plan for households; complete land allocation procedures and apply for construction permits for new projects.
The project has a total investment of 1,300 billion VND, including modern apartment buildings, from 19 to 25 floors high with full items and auxiliary works on a total area of 8,664m² of land assigned to implement the project.
Speaking at the project groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province will continue to create the most favorable conditions in terms of law and administration, as well as direct relevant agencies to closely monitor the progress, quality and safety of the project.
“I request the investor and contractors to carry out the project on schedule, ensuring quality, aesthetics, safety, security and efficiency, and fully comply with the regulations of the State and the province in investment and construction management,” the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province emphasized.
