According to reports, the North-South high-speed railway project is expected to pass through 18 communes and 5 wards of Ha Tinh with a total length of about 103.42 km.
Through preliminary review results, to date, the project is expected to recover about 764.12 hectares of land, affecting about 1,800 households with residential land, of which nearly 1,300 households must be relocated and resettled; exhuming thousands of graves.
Ha Tinh province has 35 resettlement areas of the North-South high-speed railway project in 18 communes and wards. To date, 34/35 resettlement areas have completed planning approval.
With 34 resettlement areas that have been approved for planning, 1 resettlement area in Lien Vinh residential group, Ha Huy Tap ward has been constructed with a volume of about 51.5%; 1 area in Cam Hung commune does not need to prepare design dossiers; 28 areas have completed preliminary design dossiers and have been sent to the Department of Construction; 4 areas have been approved for planning and are preparing design dossiers.

To ensure the progress of construction of resettlement areas to meet the requirements of the project, the Department of Construction proposed that the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee direct to soon unify the authority to decide on investment in resettlement areas.
Ky Van commune accelerates the completion and approval of the resettlement area plan; localities that have resettlement areas approved for planning but have not completed the design need to soon complete the survey and design dossiers of the resettlement area for inspection, consideration, and guidance.
For communes and wards that have sent design dossiers to the Department of Construction, it is necessary to urgently direct design consulting units to receive, revise, and supplement according to the opinions of the Department of Construction and the Department of Industry and Trade, ensuring progress and technical standards according to regulations.
The Department of Finance continues to coordinate with the State Treasury, relevant units and localities to complete the opening of account codes to receive capital for project site clearance.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with the investor and the People's Committees of relevant localities to review and prepare ready sources of construction materials, and plan for waste disposal locations, ensuring to meet project implementation progress requirements.
