In March 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province submitted a document to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council on approving the pre-feasibility study report of the Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital Construction Project to become the final hospital of the South Central Coast region.
The project's goal is to build Khanh Hoa General Hospital into an end-line hospital for medical examination and treatment for people in Khanh Hoa province and some provinces in the South Central Coast region by 2030.
To achieve the above goal, the hospital must be built with a scale of 1,500 beds to meet standards to solve the urgent need for facilities for specialized medical examination and treatment in the fields of Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Pediatrics for people in Khanh Hoa province and some provinces and cities in the South Central Coast region, contributing to reducing the burden on central hospitals.
The project implementation location is at the Sub-zone Planning Project (scale 1/2,000) of the Urban Area - Park - New Administrative Center of Khanh Hoa province, Vinh Thai commune, Nha Trang city, area of about 11.2 hectares.
The project to build Khanh Hoa General Hospital into a final-line hospital in the South Central Coast region will have an investment capital of VND4,450 billion from the budget. The project implementation period is expected to be from 2024-2030.
