Binh Thuan - Illegally built villas must be dismantled themselves, but recently the villa owner did not continue to dismantle as promised and arbitrarily installed corrugated iron around the construction.

On December 10, news from the People's Committee of Tanh Linh District, Binh Thuan Province said that Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Head of Economic - Infrastructure Division of Tanh Linh district sent a notice to Mr. C.T.S - Owner of illegal construction villas - Notifying the observation of the work dismantling, not carrying out more illegal items on the work and land with violating works of Mr. S.

According to this announcement, up to now, the self-demolition of Mr. C.T.S's project as committed by October 20, 2024 is delayed compared to the original commitment.

Currently, the project is not being dismantled but is surrounded by corrugated iron. Given this reality, the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Tanh Linh district said that, up to now, Mr. S has not yet fulfilled his commitment.

On the other hand, Mr. S's projects requesting to change their functions were responded by authorities at all levels as inappropriate.

"Recently, Mr. S continued to arbitrarily impact the illegal construction by having workers install corrugated iron around the construction (without continuing to dismantle as committed).

Therefore, the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Tanh Linh district requests that Mr. S immediately stop the above impacts and voluntarily dismantle the violating construction as committed to the locality" - this notice clearly stated.

At the same time, the Gia An Commune People's Committee is requested to continue monitoring and inspecting Mr. C.T.S's compliance with the commitment to self-dismantle the illegal construction. In particular, it is required not to build, expand, or install illegal items within the premises of the land with the illegal construction.

If Mr. S does not comply, he must be responsible before the law for the violation.

At the same time, Gia An Commune People's Committee strengthens the dossier and takes urgent measures to prevent further construction of the project to handle it according to the provisions of law.

As Lao Dong reported, in 2022, Mr. C.T.S's villa was built without permission on a plot of land of about 600 square meters in a traditional brick and tile craft village in Gia An commune.

Discovering the incident, in March 2022, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district issued a decision to administratively sanction the owner of this villa for illegal construction.

However, Mr. S continued to complete the construction of the above villa.

The People's Committee of Tanh Linh district and the People's Committee of Gia An commune have repeatedly issued documents requesting the voluntary dismantling of illegal constructions, but Mr. S has not complied.

On August 20, 2024, Gia An Commune People's Committee worked with Mr. C.T.S, requesting that Mr. S must demolish the villa himself.

Mr. S agreed to voluntarily dismantle the above-mentioned illegal construction. The deadline for voluntarily dismantling this villa is October 20, 2024; then extended to October 30, 2024.

During this time, the villa owner can dismantle the villa by hiring someone to impact the railing of the upper floor and some locations. Most recently, the self-dismantling period has been extended to May 10, 2025.
