On February 20, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the unit had just directed the relevant agencies to urgently look up and collect complete documents related to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency requesting to provide information and documents on the Dong Tho Residential Area project.
The Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Directors of the Departments of Finance, the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City, according to their functions and tasks, to focus on directing functional departments and units to urgently look up and collect all documents and records as required by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency related to the Dong Tho Urban Residential Area project.
Previously, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police had sent a document requesting the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province to provide documents related to the Dong Tho Urban Residential Area project, because the unit is verifying signs of violating regulations on management and use of state assets, causing loss and waste.
Documents proposed by the police agency include: Official Dispatch No. 4730 (dated September 16, 2009) of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on the mechanism for selecting investors to implement investment projects to build residential areas in Dong Tho ward, Thanh Hoa city; Official Dispatch No. 2746 (dated June 4, 2010) on the implementation of site clearance for land auctions of DT&XD Joint Stock Company 125-CIENCO1; Official Dispatch No. 5159 (dated July 25, 2012) on compensation for assets and architectural materials of DT&XD Joint Stock Company 125-CIENCO1 in Dong Tho ward, Thanh Hoa city; Decision No. 3041 (dated July 31, 2000) on approving specific land price plans as a basis for calculating land use fees due to the adjustment of residential planning in Dong Tho Ward, Thanh Hoa urban area.
In December 2024, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a decision to cancel Decision No. 4363 (dated December 27, 2011) of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on approving land prices with project land use fees collected on the grounds that the land allocation price with land use fees collected for the Urban Residential Area project in Dong Tho ward was determined when there was no decision on land allocation or conversion of land use purposes, which was not in accordance with the Government's regulations on land use fees collection.
