World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 70.74 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 70.22 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil decreased slightly by 0.49 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.69% compared to last week.
Brent oil was at 74.74 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 74.43 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil decreased by 0.28 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.37% compared to last week.
Thus, world oil prices decreased slightly last week. According to analysts, the situation in the Middle East is relatively calm as the ceasefire in Gaza is maintained. The disruption of supply has contributed to limiting the decline in oil prices.
With crude oil prices remaining below $80/barrel, analysts expect OPEC+ to once again delay the decision to cut production.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On February 23, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of February 20, 2025. Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 257 VND/liter; RON 95-III gasoline increased by 257 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 40 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 10 VND/liter; mazut decreased by 183 VND/kg.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: 1,100 VND/liter; E5 Petroleum: 1,000 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,300 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the interim price management period, gasoline prices may continue to increase.
In particular, gasoline prices are forecast to increase by about 150-200 VND/liter; oil prices may increase by about 200 VND/liter.
