On June 10, Trung Nam Construction and Erection Joint Stock Company (a unit in the joint venture constructing package No. 39 of the Phuoc An bridge project connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai) said that it is accelerating the construction progress, preparing for the border joining work, expected to take place at the end of June 2026.
Package No. 39 is one of the 5 main construction packages in the Phuoc An bridge project (total investment of nearly 4,900 billion VND), implementing the construction of the main bridge item from pier T37 to pier T40 (including waterway traffic regulation). After nearly 3 years of construction, this package has completed 30/30 main girder blocks, reaching 90% of the construction progress and is implementing the final construction steps and accelerating completion items. The joining point will be located on the Thi Vai River, between piers T38 and T39 (the two highest bridge piers in the entire project).

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, package No. 39 is currently exceeding the construction progress. At the same time, the construction progress of other packages is also being closely monitored and supervised.
In which, package No. 38 (connecting bridge item from the beginning of the route to piers T36-T37) reached about 70% progress; package No. 40 (from piers T40-T41 to pier T62, belonging to Dong Nai) reached about 13% progress; package No. 41 ( pier T62 to abutment M75 and access road, belonging to Dong Nai) reached about 6% progress. Package No. 42 (asphalt concrete and lighting) has completed the organization of contractor selection.
After completing construction and going into operation, Phuoc An bridge is expected to open a direct connection route between Dong Nai industrial parks and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port cluster, while reducing pressure on National Highway 51 and existing traffic routes in the area. Through this, Phuoc An bridge will become an important link in the inter-regional transport network, promoting logistics development, improving cargo transport capacity and completing the supply chain of the southern key economic region.
