Recently, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province issued Decision No. 1612/QD-UBND on approving the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIA) for the Chu Trinh Industrial Park (IP) Gate Construction and Site Clearance Project in Tan Giang ward.
The project is invested by the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, belonging to Group B, and is a level III civil works.
The project consists of three main items, site clearance, gate and fence construction, and boundary markings. The total area of site clearance is 63.58 hectares in Chu Trinh Industrial Park (80.58 hectares).

Of which, production forest land accounts for 35.85 hectares; rice land 8.86 hectares; annual crop land 11.17 hectares; perennial land 2.88 hectares, along with some other types of land with small areas.
The scope of the DTM only applies to 63.58 hectares, excluding 17 hectares of the access road project and the wastewater treatment system that has its own DTM and has been built before.
On September 20, according to Lao Dong reporter's actual records, Chu Trinh Industrial Park has a scale of 80.941 hectares, which was added by the Prime Minister to the Vietnam Industrial Park development plan until 2020. The project was also approved by the People's Committee of Cao Bang province for detailed planning.

Cao Bang province also approved and invested nearly 170 billion VND to invest in the construction of roads to industrial parks and wastewater treatment systems. After more than 10 years of construction, the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 1,200 m3/day and night has been completed.
A 4-lane road connecting to the Lang Son provincial road has been built, from here it can also travel to National Highway 3 to Thai Nguyen and in the coming time will connect to the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway.
The electricity system and clean water are ready to serve all activities in the industrial park. However, the construction investment time is too long, causing some items such as access roads to show signs of deterioration and subsidence.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Ly Thi Thoan (Tan Giang ward) - shared: "This industrial park has been built for a long time but it has not been completed. If the State has finished and found a company to work here, then people will have no jobs and will have to be away from home, no one would hope".
According to the plan, in the period of 2026 - 2030, the industrial park needs to complete 1.5 km of roads, wastewater collection and treatment systems, surface drainage, leveling, water supply systems, fire fighting, trees and ecological lakes.

The decision to approve the new commercial center of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province this time helps the project complete an important preparation step, towards developing the infrastructure of Chu Trinh Industrial Park in a synchronous, sustainable and in accordance with regulations on environmental protection.
Cao Bang has long been known as a locality with many valuable minerals such as manganese, vonfram, gold, iron... but there has not been any deep mineral processing area.
Most of the businesses investing in mining have few deep processing in the locality, which makes the industrial production index difficult to sustainable, even when the businesses leave, there are piles of scrap and rust everywhere.
In addition, Cao Bang is strategically located with a very long border with China. If the transportation and industrial infrastructure are synchronized, it will be a very good catalyst, helping the province have the largest economy in the country to transform.
According to data from the Cao Bang Provincial Statistics Office, in 2024, the scale of Cao Bang's economy is estimated to reach VND 25,204 billion. After merging provinces and cities, this scale will become the smallest in the country compared to the remaining 33 localities.
