Currently, there are 3 industrial parks in operation in Lao Cai province. Of which, Dong Pho Moi is the oldest industrial park established in Lao Cai in 2008.
This is an industrial park built on the administrative boundary of Lao Cai ward and part of Van Hoa commune in Lao Cai city.
With a scale of 100 hectares, of which land for factory construction accounts for 69.95 hectares, along with the ratio of land allocated to investors to implement projects by 2024 reaching nearly 90% of the total area.

Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park currently has 42 registered projects with a total investment capital of VND 979 billion, of which 41 projects are operating stably, 1 project is under construction.
Enterprises in the industrial park are creating jobs for 808 workers, with an average salary of 6.4 million VND/person/month. Revenue will reach 157.9 billion VND in 2024.
In 2011, Lao Cai decided to establish Tang Loong Industrial Park located in Xuan Giao commune, Phu Nhuan commune, Bao Thang district. From the original apatit ore collection plant, Tang Loong was expanded to an area of 1,100 hectares.
After more than 10 years of operation, up to now, this industrial park has attracted 30 registered projects with a total investment capital of VND 22,000 billion, the occupancy rate is 81.69%. In which, the focus is on projects producing fertilizers, chemicals, gold, etc.

The production value of Tang Loong Industrial Park has grown by an average of 15%/year (2010 - 2020), contributing greatly to the shift in economic structure towards increasing the industrial proportion from 26.5% to 45% in the economic structure of Lao Cai province.
In 2023, the revenue of factories and production facilities in Tang Loong Industrial Park is estimated to reach VND 16,000 billion, accounting for over 60% of the industrial production value of this locality.
Tang Loong is the largest industrial park in Lao Cai province - currently creating jobs for more than 8,000 workers with an average income of over 8.5 million VND/person/month.
In mid-April, according to Lao Dong, many workers are working hard in factories in these industrial parks.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa (Xuan Giao commune) said: "The existence of industrial parks has created jobs and stable income for people. Hopefully, in the coming time, there will be more investment projects in the province, factories put into operation to help more workers have jobs without having to go far".
Bac Duyen Hai (Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city) is the most recent industrial park established in 2012 with a total area of 85 hectares.
Of which, land for construction of factories, workshops and warehouses: 60.55ha. The occupancy rate by the end of 2024 will reach about 90%.
This is an industrial park with many industries such as handicraft production, mechanics, household appliances, agricultural and forestry machinery, automobile repair, construction machinery, electronics, warehouses, etc.

It is known that Bac Duyen Hai Industrial Park has 63 projects maintaining operations, with a total investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND.
In 2024, the industrial production value will reach 166 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 700 workers, with an average salary of 6.2 million VND/person/month.
According to information from the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, in the past time, the unit has accompanied and supported investors to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of investment, construction and operation, such as: adjusting 7 projects of Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park; supervising and evaluating investment in 8 projects in 2 industrial parks.
In 2025, the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board determined to continue to pay attention to the development of the Provincial Economic Zone and the development of industrial parks; strive to bring the industrial production value to VND 24,000 billion, accounting for about 40% of the industrial production value of the whole province.
