Many social housing projects in Dien Bien province are being focused on by businesses to complete dossiers for early implementation, contributing to increasing housing supply and meeting people's needs.
Information from Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. No. 6 and Urban Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company No. 6 - Dien Bien, 2 enterprises are researching and preparing dossiers for 4 social housing projects including: Yen Truong village project (Thanh Yen commune) with a scale of about 4.9ha with 280 units.
Team 19 project (Thanh Nua commune) with an area of about 4.9ha with about 230 units; Sam Mun commune project with an area of about 3.5ha with about 150 units and social housing project in the multi-functional area along the 60m road, Dien Bien Phu ward - Sub-area A are also considered.

Mr. Bui Duc Giang - General Director of Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. No. 6 said that the enterprise is focusing on completing dossiers to submit to competent authorities for appraisal and approval, striving to soon start projects in Thanh Yen, Thanh Nua and Sam Mun.
The Yen Truong village social housing project is expected to complete the dossier to submit to competent authorities in mid-July 2026.
In addition, Lan Hung Real Estate Joint Stock Company is completing the dossier proposing the Bac Hong Cum Social Housing Area Project - Sub-area B in Thanh Nua commune.
The project has an area of about 34.7ha. Mr. Vuong Quoc Toan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company said that the enterprise strives to submit proposals in early August 2026.

In Dien Bien Phu ward, Tam Phuc Dien Bien Real Estate Joint Stock Company is completing the dossier of the social housing project in the South of the new urban area, Muong Thanh airport pedestrian street to submit to competent authorities for appraisal in July 2026.
Meanwhile, VCN Investment Joint Stock Company continues to accelerate the progress of the social housing project in the new urban residential area north of Hoang Van Thai - Khe Chit street, Muong Thanh ward, ensuring the construction progress and registered disbursement plan.
On July 14, in an exchange with PV, Ms. Quang Thi Min (resident of Nam Ke commune) - shared: "My husband and I both went out to the city (central area - PV) to work, now we have a young child, so we really want to have a place to buy a house at a reasonable price to live permanently, without having to struggle today renting a place here, tomorrow renting a place there anymore".

It is known that to create conditions for projects to be implemented soon, the Dien Bien Department of Construction is requesting specialized units to prioritize receiving, guiding and appraising dossiers of social housing projects according to the "green channel" mechanism.
The processing time of dossiers is minimized but still ensures compliance with the provisions of law.

According to the housing development program for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2045 of the Dien Bien Department of Construction, the period 2021-2025 will develop an additional 20,000 m2 of social housing floor space, equivalent to about 400 new homes.
This number continues to increase in the period 2026-2030 with 55,000 m2 of floor space, providing about 1,100 more houses.
To realize the above goal, 12 prime land locations have been identified, mainly concentrated in urban areas with development potential with a total area of nearly 30 hectares and nearly 3,890 units.
