Reporters' records on April 6 show that at the Tan Lap urban area project construction site, many items are being implemented simultaneously.
Machinery and manpower are mobilized to the maximum, taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up progress.

Through research, the project has a total investment of 260 billion VND, implemented in the period 2023-2026.
The project scale is about 24 hectares, including ground leveling, transportation system, water supply and drainage, electricity, communication and the Red River embankment line more than 436 m long.
This is a key project to complete infrastructure, create land funds and promote local socio-economic development.

At the construction site, Mr. Do Viet Hung - technical officer of Minh Duc General Construction Co., Ltd. said that construction encountered many obstacles because the ground had not been handed over synchronously, while the prolonged rainy weather before that also significantly affected the progress.
The unit is taking advantage of dry time, organizing overtime, increasing shifts, and mobilizing more machinery to compensate for the delayed volume," Mr. Hung said.

Currently, the Red River embankment item - identified as the key of the project - has basically completed the pile driving and some units, and is continuing to construct the embankment body and embankment behind.
Faced with the pressure of progress, the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has strengthened direction, requiring contractors to organize many parallel construction teams, focusing on key items.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Cu Minh Quan - Deputy Head of Project 1 Department (Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board) said that despite many difficulties, the investor still requires units to maximize favorable time to accelerate progress and minimize construction interruptions.

Meanwhile, site clearance work continues to be the biggest "bottleneck". Cam Duong Ward People's Committee is coordinating with relevant units to focus on removing each obstacle.
According to the leader of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee, up to now, about 61% of the area has been cleared. The rest mainly relates to difficult cases of land origin, disputes or disagreements on compensation plans.

Notably, some households built on agricultural land or land not owned by themselves are not yet eligible for resettlement; some cases have overlapping dossiers or belong to groups without specific support mechanisms.
Cam Duong ward is reviewing dossiers and proposing special mechanisms to handle them thoroughly, especially for 6 households that are heavily affected. The goal is to complete site clearance in July 2026, creating conditions for the project to accelerate to reach the finish line on schedule.
