In the large area, many completed works are abandoned, covered with grass, trees, and ropes, only a few security guards are on duty, showing no signs of activity.
Also located in the project area, many rows of houses were built unfinished and then fell into a state of disrepair, surrounded by weeds. Some other items and utilities of the project are also temporarily closed.
Notably, many sections of the road in the project have also become places for people to graze freely.
Ms. Nguyen Thi An (a resident living near the Danang IT Park project) - said that the Da Nang Concentrated Information Technology Park has a very convenient traffic location when connecting with the extended Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and adjacent to the Western Ring Road under construction.
"Da Nang's concentrated IT park is currently quite deserted. Some roads have become places for grazing cows and weeds. Meanwhile, some projects are gradually falling behind over time" - Ms. An said.
According to Lao Dong reporter, Da Nang Concentrated Information Technology Park is invested by Da Nang Information Technology Park Development Joint Stock Company.
According to the investor's introduction, the project has a total area of 341 hectares, with a total investment of 2,744 billion VND. Phase 1 is 131 hectares (complete and ready to serve investors); Phase 2 is 210 hectares expected to be built within 5 years (from 2020 - 2025), due to many reasons why the investment attraction here has not been as expected.
Danang IT Park was once expected to become one of the best IT technology development communities in Asia, providing the best IT products to the world, an ideal workplace for 25,000 people including experts, senior engineers and workers, becoming a "satellite city" in the Northwest of Da Nang with about 100,000 residents.
However, currently, this project with a total investment of thousands of billions of VND is in a state of disrepair, many items in the Danang IT Park project are also abandoned.
