According to the report of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province in July 2025, preparation for the North-South high-speed railway line is being implemented.
The section passing through Khanh Hoa is about 191.8km long, starting from Dai Lanh commune ( bordering Dak Lak) and ending at Phuoc Ha commune ( bordering Lam Dong).
The route passes through 29 communes and wards, including 4 wards and 25 communes. Some notable localities include: Dai Lanh commune, Van Thang commune, Van Hung commune, Bac Ninh Hoa commune, Ninh Hoa ward, Tan Dinh commune, Bac Nha Trang ward, Suoi Dau commune, Cam Hiep commune, Ba Ngoi ward, Ninh Hai commune, Phuoc Ha commune...
The project has 2 passenger stations, Dien Khanh Station and Thap Cham Station (Bao An Ward), and a cargo station in Bac Ninh Hoa Commune, directly connecting to Van Phong Economic Zone.
In addition, there are 4 maintenance stations located in Van Ninh, Cam An, Ninh Hai and Phuoc Ha communes.
Regarding the progress milestone, from February to March 2025, a preliminary dossier on site clearance boundaries (GPMB) will be handed over, and the resettlement volume will be reviewed.
The construction of resettlement areas will last from March 2025 to December 2026.
The counting, compensation, support and resettlement plan will take place from March to December 2026.
The official compensation implementation period starts from June 2026 to June 2028.
Preliminarily, the project affects about 2,134 hectares of land, involving 5,465 households and 36 organizations, including 3 schools in Tan Dinh commune, Suoi Dau commune and Ba Ngoi ward that need to be rebuilt to ensure teaching conditions. The total number of households needing to be resettled is 1,680 households.
Khanh Hoa plans to arrange 28 resettlement areas to serve the site clearance work.
Of which, there are 13 existing areas and 15 areas that will be newly built or expanded, with a total area of over 61 hectares and a construction cost of about 1,142 billion VND.
In the northern part of the province, the section from Km1097+835 to Km1164+000 is about 66km long, passing through 10 communes and wards, expected to invest in 3 resettlement areas in Van Ninh commune, Ninh Hoa ward and Tan Dinh commune, with a total cost of about 274.22 billion VND, allocated to about 230 households.
