The project is expected to be implemented in 2 years
On August 18, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just issued a decision to announce information about the social housing project in Bac Cam Ranh ward, with a total estimated investment of more than 1,827 billion VND.
According to Decision No. 2712 dated August 6, 2026 of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the project is implemented at land plots coded E1-OM-1, E1-OM-2 under the 1/2,000 scale zoning adjustment project in a part of Cam Nghia, Cam Phuc Bac wards and a part of Cam Thanh Nam commune, formerly, now belonging to Bac Cam Ranh ward.
The project aims to build a complete and synchronous social housing area with a technical infrastructure system; trading in housing products for subjects entitled to social housing policies according to legal regulations.
According to the announced plan, the total estimated investment of the project is more than 1,827 billion VND. Of which, about 87 billion VND is the estimated cost for compensation, support, and resettlement.
The land is currently used by people and has not been recovered. The expected recovered area is about 4.58ha, affecting 54 households.
Regarding progress, the project is expected to be implemented in 2 years from the date of land allocation. The investor must complete the entire project and put it into use no later than the end of 2030 as prescribed.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Construction to announce project information on the Provincial Electronic Information Portal and the Department of Construction's Electronic Information Page.
The deadline for receiving investor dossiers is 30 days from the date of issuance of the decision. Dossiers are received directly at the headquarters of the Department of Construction, No. 4 Phan Chu Trinh, Nha Trang ward or via post office.
After the deadline for public disclosure expires, the Department of Construction is responsible for receiving, organizing dossier appraisal and implementing the investor selection process.
In case only one investor submits the dossier and meets the requirements, the Department of Construction will appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for decision to approve the investment policy and assign the investor.
If there are 2 or more investors meeting the requirements, the evaluation and selection will be carried out according to the criteria and priority order as prescribed.
Expanding the supply of social housing in southern Khanh Hoa
The announcement of more projects in Bac Cam Ranh ward continues to expand the social housing development space of the province to the south, and at the same time creates more housing supply for beneficiaries of policies in Cam Ranh and neighboring areas.
Currently, this area has the Cam Ranh social housing project receiving and checking applications for house purchase.
As of June 2026, there are 13 social housing projects in Khanh Hoa province with a total area of about 114ha, a scale of 20,008 units and a total investment of about 30,342 billion VND.
According to the assigned target, by 2030, Khanh Hoa must complete 10,088 social housing units.
About 20% of the total number of units, equivalent to 2,100 units, will be arranged in the form of rental housing and worker accommodation, serving workers who do not have enough conditions to buy houses.
