The North-South high-speed railway project through Khanh Hoa province starts at Dai Lanh commune, bordering Dak Lak; the end point is at Phuoc Ha commune, bordering Lam Dong. The project route passes through 29 communes and wards (4 wards and 25 communes) with a total length of about 191.8 km.
According to the plan, the whole province has 2 passenger stations (Dien Khanh station, Thap Cham station) and 1 cargo station (Ninh Hoa station) to connect and transit goods with Van Phong Economic Zone.
In addition, 4 maintenance stations will be located in Van Ninh, Cam An, Ninh Hai and Phuoc Ha communes.
The report of the Department of Construction said that the project has 2,134 hectares of land that need to be cleared, affecting 5,440 households and 36 organizations.
Of which, 1,720 households need to be resettled. The whole province will have 30 resettlement areas (TDC) with an area of about 64.2 hectares; including 13 built areas, 17 newly built and expanded areas. The total estimated cost is more than 1,151 billion VND.
To meet the needs of new housing for people, Khanh Hoa province needs to build and expand 15 resettlement areas along the route from Dai Lanh commune to Phuoc Ha commune.
The professional agency assessed that locations in the south of the province need to be reviewed more carefully to ensure stable infrastructure and living conditions for people.
Recently, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam has repeatedly led working groups to inspect locations planned for resettlement in the southern area.
Here, he requested the Department of Construction to coordinate with localities to review and evaluate construction planning, land use as well as the ability to connect technical infrastructure and society.
Khanh Hoa province will establish a Steering Committee for compensation and site clearance for the project.
The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested investors of component projects and the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to complete the detailed plan; at the same time, promptly organize a conference to collect people's opinions on the construction plan of the resettlement area.
At the same time, the Department of Finance was assigned to closely follow the Central Government's requirements, issue a document proposing to allocate funding and develop a plan for the province to advance capital to implement initial work, ensuring project progress.
