The project to level the ground, roads and essential infrastructure of Ban Vuoc border gate is a group B project, implemented in Bat Xat commune with a total investment of 460 billion VND.
The project's usable area is about 47.66ha, implemented in the period 2026 - 2028. Of which, about 100 billion VND is allocated for compensation and site clearance.
According to records on August 13, in the Ban Vuoc area, the locality is coordinating with the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and related units to deploy the initial steps of site clearance work.
Recently, Bat Xat Commune People's Committee organized a conference to announce information and the project site clearance plan.
This is considered an important step for local authorities and project implementing agencies to fully inform people before carrying out inventory, determining the current status of land and assets and implementing compensation and support according to regulations.
The project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 has an area of about 27.08ha, including leveling of about 24.01ha; building a parking lot of about 4.68ha along with drainage, water supply, electricity supply, lighting and essential technical infrastructure items.
Phase 2 has an area of about 20.58ha, continuing to complete the remaining items, including the administrative area, import control area, HH15 land area, parking lot, drainage system and Ban Vuoc stream improvement line about 450m long.
When completed, the project will gradually complete the infrastructure system of Ban Vuoc border gate area according to the plan, creating more favorable conditions for import and export activities and cross-border trade.
Along with that, infrastructure investment is expected to create a foundation for developing trade, services and logistics, expanding the border economic space...
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of Bat Xat Commune People's Committee assessed that the project is of great significance for completing the infrastructure of Ban Vuoc border gate area, expanding the border economic development space, attracting investment and developing trade, services, and logistics.
According to Mr. Hung, when the infrastructure of the border gate area is invested synchronously, the locality will have more conditions to promote trade advantages, while opening up job opportunities and livelihoods for people.
However, commune leaders determined that site clearance is one of the tasks that determines the project progress. Therefore, the implementation process must both ensure progress and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Accelerate progress but not violate regulations, ensure progress but not ignore the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Remove difficulties but must be based on the law, dossiers and actual situation," Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized.
Bat Xat Commune People's Committee requests relevant units to carefully review dossiers, accurately verify the current status; cases with different opinions must be discussed, explained and handled based on legal regulations.
The locality also coordinates with the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to determine boundaries and scope of implementation.
At the same time, propagate and mobilize people in Ban Vuoc 1, Ban Vuoc 2 and Ban Ven villages to create consensus in the site clearance process.
The early completion of the infrastructure of Ban Vuoc border gate is expected to improve the capacity to serve import and export, promote trade and create more motivation for economic development in the Lao Cai border area.
