Need to mobilize up to 42 billion USD to achieve growth targets
On June 6, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the adjustment of the provincial plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - said that after merging the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, Lam Dong province will have an area of more than 24,000km2, the largest in the country, with a population of nearly 4 million people.
This is a locality with many advantages in terms of natural conditions, climate, resources and development space.

According to the adjusted plan, by 2030, Lam Dong strives to become a fairly developed province of the country, an important growth pole of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
The economy is oriented to develop on the foundation of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green economy and circular economy.

The province prioritizes the development of key industries such as high-tech agriculture, mineral exploitation and processing, renewable energy, processing and manufacturing industry, logistics associated with seaports, smart cities and eco-tourism, resorts.
Lam Dong sets a target for average GRDP growth in the 2026-2030 period to reach about 10-10.5%/year.
To realize this goal, the locality needs to mobilize investment resources from 38-42 billion USD.

Vision to 2050, Lam Dong will become a developed province of the country, with a modern economic structure, high international competitiveness and a dynamic development center of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
Duc Trong is an administrative center, Da Lat develops tourism
According to the plan, Lam Dong province is organized into 7 socio-economic regions with separate development orientations.

In which, the central area includes 18 communes and wards in the Duc Trong, Don Duong and Lam Ha areas planned for urban development associated with the provincial administrative - political center located in the Duc Trong area and surrounding areas.
The North Central region, including 14 communes and wards in the Da Lat, Lac Duong and part of Lam Ha areas, is oriented to become an international cultural, educational, training, science and technology, innovation and eco-tourism, resort center.

In the Southeast area of the province, in the old Binh Thuan area, the plan identified this as a driving force for development with integrated marine economic centers, high-quality resort tourism, coastal urban areas, renewable energy and coastal economic zones.
Meanwhile, the Northeast region will develop into an energy center with gas power, wind power, and solar power projects; and at the same time promote titanium exploitation and processing and the aluminum industry.

For Phu Quy and offshore sea areas, the plan identifies this as a strategic space for national defense and security associated with integrated marine economic development, high-quality island and sea tourism, maritime logistics, industrial marine farming and offshore wind power.

To create motivation for inter-regional development, Lam Dong will form North-South and East-West economic corridors on the basis of existing national highways and expressways and strategic traffic routes planned in the coming time. Thereby, strengthening connectivity between the Central Highlands, the South Central Coast and the Southern key economic region.
