Recently, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Doan Thanh Son chaired a field inspection and a meeting to assess the implementation of the Provincial Sports Complex project.
For phase 1 of the project, the province requests the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to direct contractors to prepare the necessary conditions to start construction of the multi-purpose gymnasium item right in May 2026.
The project progress is currently recording many changes when it has completed peeling off the organic soil layer and constructing ground leveling on 7.04 hectares of land area handed over.
Functional agencies have counted and measured 163/197 affected households and individuals, corresponding to an area of 21.9 hectares.
To date, the total area of land handed over is 12.18 ha. Along with that, 107/125 graves in the project area have been relocated.

To ensure construction, provincial leaders requested to focus on completing the drainage item before the 2026 rainy and storm season to limit the risk of localized flooding.
At the same time, Dong Kinh Ward People's Committee must complete the approval of the power line compensation plan no later than May 2026 for Lang Son Power Company to organize relocation.
On the same day, in the meeting to review and develop investment policies for phase 2, provincial leaders requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to study a plan to adjust and reduce the number of seats in some stand areas to suit reality.
Materials for running tracks and squares will also be adjusted in a reduction direction but still must ensure quality requirements.
The report on the results of reviewing and preparing investment policy for phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed and submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee before May 17, 2026.
