On July 30, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the results of handling redundant houses and land in the province. The meeting was connected online to communes, wards, and special zones of the province.
Reporting at the meeting, representatives of the Department of Finance said that the whole province has 1,241 redundant housing and land facilities that need to be arranged and handled. As of July 29, 100% of facilities subject to transfer have completed transfer procedures. In which, 34 provincial-level housing and land facilities, 90 commune-level housing and land facilities have been handed over, received and put into use according to regulations.
For redundant housing and land facilities subject to transfer to local management and handling, agencies, units, and localities are urgently completing plans according to regulations. Focus on completing lease procedures for facilities subject to handling in the form of lease.
With a large number of redundant houses and land, agencies, units, and localities in the province have focused on implementing the policy of handling redundant houses and land according to the direction of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee.
Up to now, surplus houses and land facilities have basically been managed and preserved according to the current status. However, some houses and land facilities, especially remote school sites, are currently damaged, degraded and located in remote and isolated areas, so they are no longer capable of exploitation and use.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam requested agencies, units, and localities to continue to review and accelerate the progress of arranging and handling redundant housing and land facilities.
Focus on completing the plan for renting houses and land for surplus houses and land under exploitation in the form of rent. For houses and land that have been approved and announced rental unit prices but have not been registered for rent by organizations or individuals, consider adjusting rental unit prices according to regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam assigned the Department of Finance to continue to monitor and guide localities in determining house rental unit prices; promptly guide localities in the implementation process to soon determine house rental unit prices, as a basis for putting redundant houses and land into exploitation.
