Red River left bank social housing project
In early 2026, a working atmosphere urgently engulfed key social housing construction sites in Lao Cai province. Hundreds of workers and machinery were mobilized and continuously constructed to soon put projects into use, meeting the housing needs of low-income people and workers.
At the social housing project site on the left bank of the Red River (Lao Cai ward), according to PV's records, many buildings have gradually revealed block shapes. Technical infrastructure items and surrounding auxiliary areas are also being deployed synchronously.

The project is built on an area of more than 1.66ha, invested by the joint venture Hacom Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company and Thanh Dong Ninh Thuan Joint Stock Company. The project scale includes 4 12-story buildings, with a total floor area of about 66,560m2.
When completed, the project will provide about 760 apartments, with an area of 45-76m2, meeting accommodation for nearly 1,900 people in the low-income group, civil servants, public employees and laborers. Total investment of more than 630 billion VND, implementation time for the 2024-2027 period.


Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Doan Van Tuan - Deputy Director cum Head of the Project Management Board - said that the overall progress is currently about 60% of the output value.
Currently, there is a shortage of labor, from now until Tet, it is expected to complete the exterior painting of the two buildings and the infrastructure items below. The unit strives to complete about 50% of the apartments of the two buildings, the exterior construction is basically completed," Mr. Tuan said.
According to Mr. Tuan, nearly 500 workers and equipment are being mobilized to accelerate the construction progress.
Social housing project in residential area adjacent to extended B6 road
Not only in the left bank of the Red River, many other social housing projects are also being accelerated to soon supplement the housing supply for workers.
At the social housing project in the residential area adjacent to extended B6 road (Cam Duong ward), hundreds of workers and heavy machinery systems are continuously constructing every day. Building materials are fully gathered, creating a bustling working atmosphere on the large construction site.
The project is invested by a joint venture of Dong A Golden Square Joint Stock Company and Foodinco Quy Nhon Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of more than 2,085 billion VND. The project scale uses an area of 42,317m2, including 4 social housing blocks up to 25 floors high, providing about 2,192 apartments, meeting accommodation for nearly 5,600 people.


Mr. Vu Chuan - representative of the Project Management Board - said that to ensure progress, the investor requested contractors to increase manpower and organize 3 consecutive shifts of construction.
Up to now, the two buildings have completed the rough part and painted the exterior. Items such as the foundation pits of the next buildings are being deployed simultaneously. It is expected that the first apartments will be handed over in early 2026," Mr. Chuan informed.
Lam Vien Area social housing project
Along with ongoing projects, Lao Cai province has just started another social housing project in Lam Vien Area (Cam Duong ward), continuing to expand the housing fund for low-income people.
The project is invested by VITC High-Tech Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, implemented on an area of 28,517m2, including 3 9-story apartment buildings, expected to provide 594 apartments with a maximum area of 76.9m2, meeting housing for about 1,700 residents. The total investment of the project is more than 684 billion VND.
In addition to housing blocks, the project is invested in synchronously with technical infrastructure, internal transportation and utilities serving community activities, contributing to embellishing the urban appearance of Cam Duong ward.

It is known that Lao Cai province aims to build 8,000 social housing units, of which 4,000 have been completed so far, making an important contribution to improving living conditions for people, especially low-income households and workers.
Leaders of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the development of social housing is an important task to ensure social security, creating conditions for workers and low-income people to stabilize their lives, feel secure in sticking with production, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the locality.
