In mid-October, in area 2 of Minh Duc village, Hien Quan commune (area 2, Thanh Uyen commune, old Tam Nong district), people will see a series of gates, solid fences, demolished trees, and bricks and stones lying on both sides of the road. The reason is that there is a movement to donate land for road construction here, all households living along the road have voluntarily donated land, voluntarily demolishing all works and structures on the land to serve the construction of the new road.

The household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Cu (Zone 2 of Minh Duc village) is one of the households that donated the most, with a gate and about 50m of a solid fence demolished. However, Ms. Cu is happier because her hometown is about to "change its skin" with a new, spacious and spacious route, meeting travel needs and developing the socio-economy.

"At first, I felt very sorry, because the demolition and rebuilding of my house would probably cost hundreds of millions of VND. However, when the commune and residential area explained, propagated and mobilized and saw that everyone in the village was unanimously donating land to build a road, I felt happy and hoped that the current sacrifice was to make the future better" - Ms. Cu shared.

According to research, the project to renovate and upgrade rural traffic routes in Zone 2, Thanh Uyen Commune (now Zone 2 - Minh Duc, Hien Quan Commune) is being implemented here. The route has a total length of 1,125.92m - including 3 routes with lengths of 483.18m, 516.66m, 126.08m respectively.
This project has a total investment of 8 billion VND from the state budget. The project is currently invested by the People's Committee of Hien Quan commune (previously the People's Committee of Tam Nong district was the investor), the contractor is Sao Mai Phu Tho Development Investment Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Do - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Minh Duc Zone 2 - said that this route was started on October 12. The whole area has about 50 households, all of whom are parishioners of Minh Duc Parish belonging to Thanh Uyen Parish. When all levels were informed about the policy of expanding the road, people all agreed and voluntarily donated land and dismantled the architectural works so that the project could be implemented soon.
"It can be said that the high consensus comes from the spirit of "living a good life in harmony with the law" of parishioners. Up to now, the project has been implemented very smoothly. Hopefully, in the future, when the state continues to pay attention and invest in road construction, people will always keep the same spirit, for the common good, for the development of the homeland" - Mr. Do confided.

Mr. Kieu Quoc Phong - Chairman of Hien Quan Commune People's Committee - shared that the movement of donating land for road construction in Zone 2, Minh Duc village is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and companionship between parishioners and the government in building new rural areas.
"The completed route will connect residential areas, meet the travel needs of the people, create favorable conditions to promote rural economic models, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality" - Chairman of Hien Quan Commune People's Committee commented.
