Hanoi - Tomorrow, Nam Tu Liem district will forcibly reclaim 105 square meters of land from a household to complete the construction of Phung Khoang Lake Park after many years of delay.

Speaking with Lao Dong on December 8, Mr. Nguyen Duy Trinh - Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi) - said that there is currently one household with a total recovered land area of 105 square meters that has not agreed on the compensation plan and handover of the site for the Phung Khoang Lake Park construction project.

Mr. Trinh said that recently, the functional forces of Nam Tu Liem district have repeatedly organized propaganda and mobilization, but the above household still does not agree to hand over the land according to regulations.

The leader of the Land Fund Development Center of Nam Tu Liem district affirmed that the procedures for site clearance for households must comply with regulations at the time of recovery.

Regarding the review of compensation and support policies, they have been applied in accordance with the policies at the time of land acquisition and approval.

In order to not delay the project any further, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District has issued a decision to forcibly reclaim the land of the above-mentioned household. The time for forcible land reclamation will be carried out tomorrow (December 9).

Phung Khoang Lake Park project is over 11 hectares wide, started in 2016 and is part of the Phung Khoang New Urban Area Project.

The original plan was for the park to be put into use in 2017, but 7 years have passed and the project is still unfinished, overgrown with grass, and some items have deteriorated... causing great waste.

The reason why the Phung Khoang Lake Park project has been delayed for many years is due to problems in site clearance.

Currently, there are 15 completed items in the park, 8 items under construction and some items not yet done (basketball court, children's playground, entrance gate, multi-purpose auxiliary building, souvenir service).

Previously, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested Nam Tu Liem district to complete the site clearance for the Phung Khoang Lake Park project and hand it over to the investor before December 15.

The investor is responsible for reviewing, completing, and maintaining completed items, handing them over to Nam Tu Liem district for management, maintenance, and use to serve the people during the Lunar New Year 2025.

The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District is responsible for coordinating, implementing the handover and temporarily accepting the management and exploitation, ensuring conditions and safety during the implementation of procedures until the conditions for official handover are met according to regulations (no later than the first quarter of 2025).
