Hanoi - It is expected that on December 12, Thanh Xuan district will forcibly reclaim more than 3,200 square meters of land from 34 households to implement an important project.

Thanh Xuan District People's Committee (Hanoi) on December 7 informed that the district has just issued Notice No. 1131/TB-UBND on organizing the enforcement of land recovery in cases of non-compliance with handing over the site to implement the project of building the new urban area of Phung Khoang (Nhan Chinh ward).

Subjects of enforcement: 3,286.82m2 of land and constructions on land of 34 cases who did not agree to receive money and hand over the site to implement the project to build the new urban area of Phung Khoang (of which, enforcement was carried out in 12/34 cases with a land area of 423m2 in the project to build the Thanh Xuan 220/110KV Transformer Station).

The enforcement period starts from 8:00 a.m. on December 12, 2024.

Thanh Xuan District People's Committee said it will continue to carry out propaganda and mobilization work to get households and individuals to agree to hand over the land before the enforcement time.

After completing the enforcement, Thanh Xuan district will hand over part of the transformer station construction area to Hanoi Electricity Corporation to implement the Thanh Xuan 220/110kV Transformer Station project, contributing to ensuring energy security and serving people's lives in the district.

Previously, the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan district announced that the forced land acquisition to implement the Phung Khoang urban area construction project would be held on November 21.

By the morning of November 21, the Thanh Xuan District People's Committee had decided to temporarily suspend the forced land acquisition. The reason for the postponement is that the Hanoi City People's Committee was scheduled to hold a dialogue with households subject to land acquisition on November 22. Therefore, the forced acquisition on November 21 will be suspended until further notice.

The project to build the new urban area of Phung Khoang was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in Decision No. 2580/QD-UBND dated December 15, 2008, located in Tu Liem district (now Nam Tu Liem district) and Thanh Xuan district.

The project has a land use scale of 283,775.5m2, of which the area to be recovered is 276,711m2. In Thanh Xuan district, the area to be recovered in Nhan Chinh ward is 5,837m2; and in Tu Liem, the area to be recovered in Trung Van commune (269,380m2), Me Tri commune (1,494m2).

On August 31, 2022, the Hanoi People's Committee continued to issue Decision No. 3162/QD-UBND on approving the adjustment of the investment policy, including the content of extending the project implementation progress. However, the project has not been able to be implemented yet due to land clearance problems.
