Nghe An reclaims more than 25,000 m2 of land for mineral exploitation

Nghe An - Prison No. 6 - General Department VIII, Ministry of Public Security proposed to reclaim land due to no longer having a need to use it.

On December 11, the People's Committee of Nghe An province announced that it had just issued a decision on land recovery in Nam Thanh and Nam Nghia communes, Nam Dan district.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee reclaimed 25,054 m2 of land used for mineral exploitation purposes in Nam Thanh and Nam Nghia communes, Nam Dan district (including 23,650 m2 of land in Nam Thanh commune and 1,404 m2 of land in Nam Nghia commune) from Prison No. 6 and Dai Cac Joint Stock Company, as Prison No. 6 - General Department VIII, Ministry of Public Security requested to reclaim the land due to no longer having a need to use the land.

The above land area was previously leased by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 320 dated June 30, 2014.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to direct the updating and correction of land database and cadastral records. At the same time, preside over and coordinate with relevant organizations, agencies, units and individuals to organize the handover of the recovered land in the field to the People's Committees of Nam Thanh and Nam Nghia communes in accordance with regulations.

Assign the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to organize land allocation in the field; regularly inspect, monitor and promptly detect and prevent land encroachment violations on the above land area.

The People's Committees of Nam Thanh and Nam Nghia communes shall receive and manage the entire recovered land area to put it into management and use in accordance with legal regulations; regularly inspect, supervise and promptly detect and prevent land encroachment violations on the above area.
