According to Lao Dong, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City has just announced the receipt of the first phase of social housing rental registration documents at an apartment building for people with revolutionary contributions on Vu Mong Nguyen Street (Ngu Hanh Son District).
Notably, this is the first social housing in the country for people with revolutionary contributions and policy families.
It is the first social apartment in the Project "Building social apartment buildings arranged for families with meritorious services to the housing revolution in the period of 2020 to 2025" of Da Nang City.

Accordingly, the building has 12 floors and 1 basement with investment in synchronous green landscape infrastructure.
The project has a total investment of about 223.82 billion VND from the city budget, built on a total area of 22,172 m2, including 209 apartments, each apartment area is from 65 - 77 m2.
The investment cost of each apartment is about 1 billion VND, double the investment of conventional apartments.
The expected rental price here is 57,822 VND/m2/month (excluding floor coefficient); management and operation fee is 5,169 VND/m2/month.

The subjects eligible to rent houses are people with revolutionary contributions, based on the provisions of Decree 131/2021/ND-CP of the Government on detailed regulations and measures to implement the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions and Decision 47/2024/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on Regulations on subjects and conditions for renting, buying, and leasing social housing in the city such as Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, War Invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, resistance fighters, etc.
Subjects exempted from or exempted from rent shall comply with Article 36 of Decree 100/2024/ND-CP on detailed regulations on a number of articles of the Housing Law on the development and management of social housing.

In addition to the criteria for meritorious services, tenants must have a permanent residence in Da Nang City for at least 5 years up to the time of application submission; Have never bought, rented, or leased social housing or enjoyed housing support policies in any form in the city; No housing or land use rights in Da Nang City.
In case there are but the transfer or donation has been made, it must be at least 3 years from the time of submitting the application.

At the plaque-attaching ceremony for social housing projects at the end of March 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that this is a project within the program to implement the project to build social housing areas for families with revolutionary contributions and those with housing difficulties in Da Nang City in the period of 2020-2025.
Da Nang City will make more efforts to implement social security projects, contributing to bringing a better life to the families of people with revolutionary contributions in particular and all people of the city in general.
