According to information from Do Son ward, implementing the policy of upgrading infrastructure, urban embellishment and developing tourism space, Do Son ward is actively implementing contents related to the project to expand Ly Thai To street in Zone I and develop the surrounding area.
Through review and actual inspection in the Hoa Phuong quán row area (Zone I), many works are seriously degraded, no longer usable, posing a potential risk of unsafety and affecting the urban and tourist aesthetics. Therefore, the government is propagating and mobilizing 4 households to approve the policy of relocation and handover of land. Functional forces are demolishing and dismantling related works to soon return the clean ground to serve the project.
For cases that have not been handed over, the ward continues to propagate and mobilize people to agree with the general policy, requesting early relocation on time. In case people do not comply, the locality develops a handling plan according to regulations.
The renovation and dismantling of degraded works not only contributes to renewing the appearance of Do Son tourist area in a clean, beautiful, and civilized direction, but also creates a clear space, ready to deploy the Ly Thai To road expansion project.
The project to expand Ly Thai To road in Zone I Do Son and develop the surrounding area was approved for investment policy by Hai Phong City from August 2024.
The project scale is to clear ground for the adjacent area with an area of about 5.072 ha; invest in expanding Ly Thai To street (section from 15/5 Square to Van Bun intersection, Doi Rong project gate), with a length of 1,341 m. Along with that, invest in expanding according to the current road boundary from 17.25 m-19 m to 34 m, specifically: roadbed width Bn=34m, road surface Bm=2x11.25 m, sidewalk Bha=2x5 m, median strip Bp=1.5 m; build a system of reinforced concrete walls, corrugated iron walls for locations along the road with height differences from the roadside sidewalk.
The technical infrastructure system on the entire route is also invested, including: water supply system, rainwater drainage system, technical pipelines, green trees, lighting, transformer station. Total project investment: 300.584 billion VND from the city budget. The project is implemented in Hai Son ward, Van Huong ward, Do Son district (now Do Son ward, Hai Phong city) from 2024 - 2027.
The expansion of Ly Thai To street (the section from May 15th square to the gate of Doi Rong Project) and urban embellishment of Zone I are necessary to ensure modern traffic infrastructure and convenient traffic organization in the area, avoiding localized congestion during the tourist season.
