Mr. Le Quoc Anh, Secretary of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee, said that from the beginning of 2024 until now, the City People's Committee (now the Special Zone People's Committee) has directed the development of a plan and organization of large-scale campaigns, mobilizing all forces to manage construction and traffic order. The entire political system is taking part to improve state management, discipline and order in urban management and enhance cultural and aesthetic living on a number of streets, main streets, central areas and wards and communes.
Dismantling illegal construction works on sidewalks and billboards hanging in violation of regulations, propagating sales in the right places. There were 1,375 patrols and inspections; 467 cases of temporary detention of exhibits, vehicles, and licenses; 166 cases of reminders and commitments; 92 cases of administrative violation records were drawn up, and 92 decisions were issued for sanctions.
The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone has organized compulsory land recovery with 33 cases, mobilizing 53 cases to voluntarily comply with the decision to enforce land encroachment to return the land under state management.
