On November 30, according to information from the Government Inspectorate, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy had a regular meeting with citizens.
The meeting reviewed the content of Mr. and Mrs. Ha Thi Hoa, Nguyen Van Gioi, Nguyen Thi Thue, Nguyen Ba Hoan, Nguyen Xuan Du representing 300 households residing in 3 communes: Lien Hong, Lien Ha, Lien Trung, Dan Phuong district (Hanoi city) petitions and reflections on the content related to the forced eviction of households' production and business factories, affecting the rights and interests of households.
The households requested the People's Committee of Dan Phuong district to consider and temporarily suspend the enforcement and create conditions for the households to continue production and business, and stabilize their lives until the state reclaims and uses this land.
In addition, households requested the People's Committee of Dan Phuong district to facilitate the conversion of land use purposes in cases that are suitable for the planning.
After listening to the opinions of the citizens' representatives and the participating agencies, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy concluded that this is a case under the authority of the Hanoi People's Committee, but in order to resolve it early and from afar, to avoid public frustration, the Hanoi People's Committee needs to direct Hanoi agencies, specifically the Dan Phuong District People's Committee, to carefully review the regulations to thoroughly resolve the matter, ensuring the legitimate rights of the people.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy said that when dealing with a case, one must put oneself in the position of the people to look at it and work thoroughly, with reason and emotion.
According to Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy, through the citizen's complaint and opinions at the citizen reception, it shows that the management and use of land in Dan Phuong district still has many problems, with many shortcomings, inadequacies, and violations.
Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee needs to have drastic direction and assign a comprehensive inspection of land management and use in the district to make recommendations and handle them according to the provisions of law.
Regarding the case of Mr. Le Quoc Khanh - Director of IDC Company Limited (lane 35 Cat Linh, Cat Linh ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi), Mr. Le Quoc Khanh requested the competent authority to consider and resolve a number of issues related to the implementation of the Office Housing Project for lease in the An Duong lake area, Yen Phu ward, Tay Ho district.
According to the citizen, the case has been over 20 years but has not yet been reviewed and resolved by the competent authorities.
The Deputy Inspector General requested the Hanoi People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to review regulations and coordinate with the investor's representative to completely resolve the existing problems of the Project to ensure legitimate benefits for the investor and related individuals.
Mr. Huy assigned the Central Citizen Reception Committee to coordinate with Department I and the Government Inspectorate to inspect, monitor and urge the settlement of citizens' complaints and petitions according to regulations. At the same time, notify the Government Inspectorate of the results of the settlement of the two above cases before March 31, 2025.
