Quang Binh converts more than 255 hectares of forest to make industrial parks

Quang Binh - The Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to convert more than 255 hectares of forest to implement the Cam Lien Industrial Park Project in Le Thuy district.

Of the total area of over 255 hectares converted, more than 185 hectares of forest outside the forestry planning are of protective forest origin and nearly 70 hectares of forest outside the forestry planning are of production forest origin. This area is located in Thanh Thuy, Cam Thuy and Ngu Thuy Bac communes.

Previously, on November 15, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision approving the investment policy for the Cam Lien Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project. The project has a scale of 450 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 2,200 billion.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, Cam Lien Industrial Park has a favorable geographical location, expected to become a strategic destination for investors, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, improving competitiveness, creating jobs and improving the lives of local people.

To ensure progress, the Provincial People's Committee has requested investors to fulfill their financial commitments, ensuring sufficient capital mobilization and starting the project in the third quarter of 2025.
