After two years of construction, the overpass in front of Tan Son Nhat airport's T3 terminal is almost completed and ready to go into operation. This project is an important part of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project, expected to officially open to traffic in April, creating a new look for the traffic infrastructure of the airport area.
The Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project is about 4 km long with a total investment of more than VND 4,800 billion, including many items such as branch road, overpass and underpass. This route starts from the Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen intersection and extends to the C12 - Cong Hoa - Truong Chinh intersection, forming a vital traffic axis connecting the inner city area with the airport. When officially put into operation, the route will contribute to solving serious congestion at airport gateways, helping people move more conveniently.
The overpass is 988 m long, designed modernly, starting from the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting route, crossing 18E road and ending at Hoang Hoa Tham intersection. The highlight of the project is a separate branch leading directly to Terminal T3, helping vehicles to circulate quickly, limiting the congestion of vehicles during rush hour.

The total progress of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project is currently about 95%. Currently, the units are urgently completing package No. 13 (including the construction of roads, retaining walls, sidewalks, drainage, traffic organization at the end of the route and expansion of Truong Chinh Street).
When officially put into operation, the project will not only contribute to reducing traffic pressure for the airport area but also create a faster and more convenient access route for passengers. This is also a big step forward in upgrading transport infrastructure in Tan Binh district and neighboring areas, opening up prospects for modern and sustainable urban development.
