Strong towards grassroots
Workers' Month 2026 is implemented by the Provincial Labor Federation with the theme "Vietnamese Workers - Innovation, improving labor productivity". According to the plan, Workers' Month this year takes place from May 1 - 31 with many practical activities, strongly focusing on grassroots levels.
The Provincial Labor Federation organized commendation for union members, good workers and typical unit and business leaders in emulation to follow Uncle Ho's words, associated with the preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01 on continuing to implement Directive No. 05 of the 12th Politburo on promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.
Organized health check-ups, health consultations, and free medicine distribution for 600 workers; presented gifts to 521 union members and workers (NLĐ) in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, labor accidents, and occupational diseases with a total value of over 400 million VND; and presented support for 30 "Trade Union Homes".
Responding to Workers' Month 2026, recently, Thuyen Nguyen Import-Export Trading Co., Ltd. in Tinh Phong Industrial Park coordinated with the grassroots trade union to organize sports festivals for all union members and employees.
The activity attracted the participation of 8 teams from trade union groups, with two contents: backpacking and shirt relay. The competitions require physical strength, rhythmic coordination and high team spirit.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Thuyen Nguyen Import-Export Trading Co., Ltd. said that the sports festival is not only a sports playground but also an opportunity for workers to connect and share after working hours. "We hope that after working hours at the sewing machine, each union member will have moments of relaxation and joy, thereby creating a more positive attitude when returning to production, contributing to improving labor efficiency and strengthening internal cohesion.
Affirming the central role of workers
In parallel with sports activities, the "Trade Union Meal" program at Toray International Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Quang Ngai Branch (VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park) was organized for nearly 1,000 union members and workers, creating a cohesive atmosphere in the collective.
Each meal is worth 60,000 VND, with a diverse menu, rich in nutrients and ensuring food safety and hygiene. The highlight of the program is not only the increased value of meals but also the space for reunion and intimacy between the company's leadership, trade union officials and employees.
In particular, the grassroots trade union also regularly maintains the "Summer Soothing" activity with fresh orange juice prepared by trade union officials, helping workers cool down and recharge energy in hot sunny days.
Ms. Truong Thi Thuy, a worker at Toray International Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Quang Ngai Branch, expressed: "The meal is very full and delicious. But what makes us the happiest is being able to sit and eat with leaders and colleagues in a cozy space. These meaningful programs help each employee feel truly a member of the company.
