On September 13, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee informed that Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam - Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has just chaired a meeting to review and evaluate the situation of management, use and handling of redundant houses and land in the province.
According to the report of the Department of Finance, the whole province has 1,221 houses and land facilities subject to handling and exploitation after arranging the organizational structure and implementing local government at 2 levels. Of which, 1,102 facilities are subject to the handling plan approved by the province and 119 facilities are received from central agencies.

Through review, most of the facilities have been transferred to the correct management and handling focal points and put into operation and use or completed the exploitation preparation steps. However, the implementation progress in some localities is still slow compared to the requirements.
For 1,102 redundant housing and land facilities under the provincially approved plan, as of September 11, 2026, 890 facilities have been handled. For housing and land facilities received from central agencies, 37 facilities have been handled and put into operation and use.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam emphasized that the province will continue to drastically implement the arrangement and handling of surplus houses and land in the area, linking the handling of surplus houses and land with the process of urban embellishment and development, thereby improving the efficiency of using public assets and creating a more spacious urban appearance.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units, and localities to focus on thoroughly handling relevant work contents to ensure that in October 2026, 100% of the handling and exploitation plan for redundant houses and land in the whole province must be completed.
