According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on August 12, after a month of construction, the 6-storey Ham Thang building (No. 1-3-5 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem Ward) and two power stations have been dismantled.
The construction unit is installing LED screens and renovating the construction vermicelli on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Cau Go Street, and Hang Dao Street.

Another project in phase 1 of the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square renovation and expansion project is Thuy Ta restaurant located next to Hoan Kiem Lake, which is also being dismantled at the beginning of the season (due to not being in the original architecture).
The parking lot on Dinh Tien Hoang Street has been relocated, the road surface has been re-paved, and a median strip has been installed to reorganize traffic.
After Hanoi demolishes the Shark Hand Building and combines it with the surrounding street to create about 1.4 hectares of space to serve the community, 3 basements will be built below this area.

Along with renovating and beautifying the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square area, Hoan Kiem Ward is also carrying out work under the direction of the city related to the square east of Hoan Kiem Lake.
According to the plan, the square and park east of Hoan Kiem Lake will be organized into a public space, forming a square linked to the green space east of Hoan Kiem Lake, creating a space for community activities, organizing art activities, exhibitions and cultural events.
The project to renovate the space east of Hoan Kiem Lake is more than 2 hectares wide, divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 focuses on building the upper part of the square and the park using public investment capital; phase 2 builds 3 basements under the square, connecting with Station C9 of the Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao metro line, according to the TOD model.

According to records, many units such as Hoan Kiem Electricity Company, Hanoi Blind Association, City Convention Center... are moving their belongings, ready to hand over the site to build squares and parks east of Hoan Kiem Lake.
Previously, the city set a goal of completing the renovation of Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and completing the relocation of works east of Hoan Kiem Lake on the occasion of September 2.
