Decorations that easily stick to dust
Many decorative details in the house such as wall recesses, crystal chandeliers, ceiling fans or kitchen cabinet roofs are very prone to dust accumulation. This can become an allergen if not cleaned regularly, while cleaning is quite difficult.
To limit dust, priority should be given to simple, easy-to-clean lamps such as anti-glare ceiling lights, gentle light lamps, or bar lights, instead of ceiling lights. Kitchen cabinets should be designed high close to the ceiling to prevent dust from sticking to the roof. For crystal chandeliers, periodic cleaning is needed with specialized solutions or hiring cleaning services. When choosing ceiling fans, priority should be given to easy-to-clean types to prevent dust from spreading when operating.
Inappropriate lighting design
Light not only affects vision but also directly affects circadian rhythm and quality of life. Daytime needs sufficient light to generate energy, while nighttime should use soft light to relax the body.
In the living room, the main living space should use neutral light of about 4,000K to maintain a balance between brightness and warmth. The bedroom is suitable for warm yellow light from 2,700-3,000K, helping the body to relax and sleep deeper. Light sources should be arranged indirectly, avoiding direct projection into the eyes.
If you need completely dark space to sleep, you should limit using thin curtains because outside light can affect sleep and the biological clock.
For classrooms or offices, warm white desk lamps should be chosen from 3,500-4,000K to ensure enough light without causing glare or drowsiness. At the same time, lights should be arranged reasonably, avoiding the light shining from behind causing shadows, affecting reading and working.
