According to the City People's Committee, up to now, Da Nang has planned 46 clean land points to serve housing development for people. With this total area, the city can supply about 42,700 apartments, reaching a rate of 151% compared to the target of 32,000 apartments assigned by the Government to be completed by 2030.
At the voter contact conference held on May 5, Mr. Le Quang Nam, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee affirmed: "In 2026, the city is determined to complete the norm of about 5,000 apartments. Preparing a land fund exceeding the plan is a strategic step to ensure that all workers have the opportunity to settle down, without leaving anyone behind in the urban development process.
In parallel with the new construction, the city government also frankly acknowledges the degradation of many old apartment buildings.
Many voters reflected that there are rows of houses that have been operating for 20 to 30 years, and the infrastructure has been seriously damaged. Answering this issue, Mr. Nam said that Da Nang still prioritizes allocating budget through the Department of Construction to carry out periodic maintenance and repair work annually.
The deterioration of apartments after decades of use is a reality that is difficult to avoid. However, the city's point of view is to absolutely ensure the safety of life and living environment for people. We request localities and voters to accurately reflect the location and level of damage so that the construction industry can promptly rectify and repair it this year," Mr. Nam emphasized.
