This is one of the route sections with a large volume of excavation and embankment, some locations encountering complex terrain such as hard rock, leading to construction measures requiring complex technical requirements and long time.
Currently, many road surface positions have been paved with grade 1 asphalt concrete. Auxiliary items to ensure traffic safety such as guardrails and direction signs are being installed by contractors.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh - Commander of package 19, Truong Son Construction Corporation said that the contractor has planned and developed construction plans for each specific weather condition, avoiding passivity.
If the weather is rainy, we will proceed to construct items that are less affected such as bridge and culvert concrete. When the sunny weather stops, we will focus on constructing in 3 shifts and 4 teams to speed up the progress," Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh informed.
At other bidding packages, overcoming difficulties, construction work is still continuously deployed with more than 119 construction fronts on the entire route. According to the report of the Project Management Board for Construction Investment Project No. 01 of Tuyen Quang province, currently, 13/13 construction packages have been and are being deployed, with a value of more than 68%.
The entire Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway is entering a peak period with a large volume of construction. Every day, construction sites need to consume a large amount of diesel to operate machinery to serve excavation, transportation of materials and roadbed construction.
The investor has worked with contractors, proactively adjusted construction plans, machinery operation plans accordingly, utilized reserve fuel sources and sought more legal sources to maintain construction.
Mr. Bui Cong Phuong - Deputy Director of Project Management Board for Construction Investment Project No. 01 of Tuyen Quang province said that to ensure technical quality and project progress, the Management Board has worked with contractors to set specific progress for items and remove arising bottlenecks.
Units are required to determine the daily and weekly construction volume to promptly assess and rectify, and at the same time build a reward regime when meeting the progress.
Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway (phase 1), belonging to group A project, over 104km long. The project has a total investment of 13,800 billion VND. The project's starting point connects to the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, the ending point is Tan Quang commune.
The project has been implemented since 2023 with the expectation of increasing traffic connectivity between Tuyen Quang province and neighboring areas. At the same time, it contributes to promoting socio-economic development in the Northern mountainous region.
