The investment project to expand Phi Liet people's cemetery, Lai Xuan commune (now Lien Xuan commune, Thuy Nguyen city) involves 174 households. Considering the key nature of the project and the actual circumstances of the households, the Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee agreed to allow Thuy Nguyen to apply other support for each specific case when the state reclaims land for project site clearance.
Thuy Nguyen City directs the conduct of inventories, preparation of compensation and support plans for site clearance, and full application of regimes and policies according to regulations. The departments, district boards and localities have repeatedly explained, propagated, mobilized and persuaded households to agree. However, as of February 19, there are still 19 households that have not handed over the site, of which 18 households have construction works and live on the land.
At the meeting, the leader of Thuy Nguyen City People's Committee emphasized that the mechanisms and policies to support the implementation of the Project have been applied to ensure the rights of related households. To ensure the project's progress, the City People's Committee will organize compulsory land recovery on February 27-28.
The Chairman of Thuy Nguyen City People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant agencies to continue reviewing, reviewing, and supplementing legal documents for enforcement work. Along with that, 3 enforcement teams were established to survey the situation at 19 households to propose situations and solutions for enforcement; arrange human resources and means to ensure efficiency and safety.
Lien Xuan commune arranged temporary shelters for households and places to store assets after enforcement to ensure safety; at the same time, continued to meet, propagate, explain, and mobilize households to agree and hand over the site to the construction unit.
