On October 6, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the Provincial People's Council has just issued a supplementary resolution allowing the conversion of land use purposes for rice cultivation, protective forests, and production forests to implement 8 projects in the districts of Phu Yen, Song Ma, Thuan Chau, Moc Chau and Son La city.
Of which, land specialized in rice cultivation (from 2 rice crops or more) is 37,870.4 m2; remaining rice cultivation land is 19,842.7 m2; protective forest land (with forest) is 16,000 m2; protective forest land (without forest) is 3,987 m2 and production forest land (without forest) is 4,078 m2.
According to Son La Provincial People's Council, land use conversion projects are as follows:
Binh Minh High-Quality Secondary and High School project in Quang Huy commune, Phu Yen district changes the purpose of more than 11,000 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
Project to renovate the land and technical infrastructure of Tien Chung residential area, Muong Sai commune, Song Ma district, converting the purpose of nearly 7,000 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
The project of Chieng Pac Commune Medical Station, Thuan Chau District, changes the purpose of nearly 1,700 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
Project to relocate residents in landslide disaster area of Huoi Soi village, Chieng Ngam commune, Thuan Chau district, converting the purpose of nearly 5,000 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
Investment project to build the inter-commune traffic road from Ban Khua - Suoi Don, Chieng Khua commune to Pha Don village, A Ma, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district, changing the purpose of nearly 25,000 m2 (remaining rice land, protective forest, production forest).
Project to expand the new residential area of Quyet Thang ward, Son La city (to create a site for Quyet Thang Kindergarten project) to change the purpose of 12,000 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
Project to relocate people from landslide area of Co Phung village, Hua La commune, Son La city to change the purpose of 19,000 m2 of remaining rice land.
Residential infrastructure project adjacent to Vo Nguyen Giap street, Son La city changes the purpose of nearly 200 m2 of rice land (from 2 rice crops or more).
