On May 18, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - worked with the Inspection Team of the Government Inspectorate on the inspection of redundant houses and land after arrangement and the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area Project in Nam Nha Trang ward.
Regarding the content of inspection of surplus houses and land after arrangement in the province, the inspection period is from March 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
According to the plan, the inspection aims to assess the current situation of management and use of redundant houses and land after arrangement; identify difficulties and obstacles to propose solutions to handle and effectively exploit the public asset fund, avoiding loss and waste.
In case violations are detected, functional agencies will clarify them for handling according to regulations.
For the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area Project in Nam Nha Trang ward invested by Hoan Cau Nha Trang Joint Stock Company, the inspection period is determined from the project implementation to March 31, 2026.
The inspection period is 60 actual working days from the date of announcement of the decision.
The content of the inspection focuses on the compliance with legal regulations related to investment policy approval; planning and adjustment; land allocation, land lease, sea surface lease; land price determination; financial obligations of investors; project implementation progress; as well as the settlement of related petitions, complaints, and denunciations.
Through the inspection, the Government Inspectorate will assess the implementation of policies, laws and responsibilities of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals.
At the same time, clarify the causes of shortcomings, difficulties, and obstacles in the project implementation process.
If violations are detected, the inspection team will propose handling and clarifying the responsibilities of relevant collectives and individuals.
Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area Project arose a lawsuit lasting nearly 25 years.
Regarding this project, people continue to petition the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to consider recovering many hectares of land in the project area invested by Hoan Cau Co., Ltd. According to reports, this area has been abandoned for more than 20 years.
People also proposed adjusting the investment certificate of the enterprise in the direction of reducing the area of the above-mentioned land to ensure the legitimate rights of the people.
Previously, the Government Office had a notice of the conclusion of the Standing Deputy Prime Minister after working with the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on removing difficulties for projects in the province.
According to the conclusion, the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area Project is assessed as a large, complex project, generating complaints over many periods.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Government Inspectorate to urgently conduct a comprehensive inspection of the project, soon have conclusions to remove difficulties, and at the same time release development resources for the region.
