Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment policy and assigning the investor not to approve the bidding for the investment project to build social housing area No. 1 in sub-zone No. 3, Tien Phong ward.
Accordingly, the investor is the Dai Nam - Dien Bien joint venture (Dai Nam Holdings Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and Dien Bien - Invest Real Estate Co., Ltd.).
The project has a land use scale of about 4.52ha.
The project will build an 18-story above-ground social housing project, expected to have 941 apartments, with an expected area of about 50 - 70m2.
In addition, the project has a commercial housing project of 29 above-ground floors, 1 basement floor, expected to have 340 apartments, with an expected area of about 70 - 90m2.
The project provides accommodation for about 2,200 people.
The total estimated investment of the project is more than 1,800 billion VND. Of which, owner's equity is 450 billion VND, and the rest is borrowed capital and other legal mobilized capital.
The project will complete construction, acceptance and put into use within a maximum of 48 months from the date of being approved for investment policy by a competent state agency and assigned to the investor.
According to the decision, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee also requested the Dai Nam - Dien Bien consortium to properly implement the commitment on the selling price of social housing at the project (maximum 22,000 VND/m2) according to the document dated February 10, 2026 of the Dai Nam - Dien Bien Consortium.
At the same time, it is proposed that the investor study cost management solutions and apply technology to continue to reduce the cost of social housing at the project to meet the accessibility of low-income people and solve urgent housing needs, ensure social security, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.
Bac Ninh is one of the leading localities in the country in terms of social housing development results. In 2025, the province completed nearly 20,000 social housing units, accounting for about 20% of the country's total supply.
In 2026, the province is assigned a target of 19,000 units, higher than Hanoi, but the province sets a target to continue to complete over 20,000 units.
Currently, the construction of social housing in Bac Ninh province continues to take place strongly and comprehensively across all subjects.
In particular, Bac Ninh province started construction of the first social housing building for the Police force and is expected to soon start the next project for the Army force.
