The Ecovance High-Tech Biodegradable Materials Factory Project in Dinh Vu Industrial Park was started on May 11, 2024, with a total investment of 500 million USD. The investor is Ecovance Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of SK Group, Korea. This is a project to produce biodegradable materials, plastic products and related materials in the production of biomaterials. To date, the project has reached 61% progress.
The delegation inspected the progress of the USI Manufacturing Plant Project in Vietnam, Phase 2 at Dinh Vu Industrial Park, which started construction on April 10, 2024. This is a project to manufacture and assemble electronic circuit boards, wearable devices, smart handheld devices, and household appliances; components and circuit boards of products such as computers, computer peripherals; household electronic products, measuring, navigation and control application equipment; and data communication equipment. The total investment of the entire project is 215 million USD.
Currently, the project construction is 80% complete; the electricity and fire protection are 85% complete; the technical infrastructure is 30% complete... The contractor is expected to complete the construction in March 2025.
Through field inspection and listening to the report, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board Le Trung Kien emphasized that these are projects with important significance and roles in implementing the goal of developing high-tech industry, especially semiconductor industry; environmentally friendly products, which are of great interest to the city's leaders.
Investors continue to focus on human resources, resources, and equipment to put the two projects into operation in 2025, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the 17th City Party Congress. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board always pays attention, creates favorable conditions, and coordinates to resolve investors' recommendations as quickly as possible, meeting the requirements for completing and operating the factories.
