On the afternoon of July 24, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Development Investment Fund - said that after being agreed upon by Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, Ha Tinh Development Investment Fund has decided on a plan to organize an online draw to choose the right to buy 509 apartments under the Thanh Sen Ward Social Housing Pilot Project phase 2.
The reason for the decision to draw lots online is that the number of applications to buy social housing is too large, including 1,786 valid applications, more than 3.5 times the number of apartments.
Online lottery will have many advantages such as helping people not have to travel, not taking much time. In particular, the software uses random selection algorithms, completely eliminating human intervention, ensuring publicity, transparency and fairness.
Mr. Ho Anh Tuan added that recently, a delegation from the Department of Construction, Ha Tinh Development Investment Fund and related units went to learn about the experience of online lottery to buy social housing in Hanoi.
The unit is coordinating with Ha Tinh Telecommunications to complete the technology infrastructure to serve the lottery. After the relevant departments and branches inspect and confirm that it ensures security and successful testing, an online lottery will be organized.
