On July 23, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Anh Son - Head of Mineral Department, Ha Tinh Department of Agriculture and Environment said that to overcome the shortage of construction materials, from 2025, Ha Tinh province has organized auctions for 19 more mineral mines.
Up to this point, 7/19 mineral mines successfully auctioned in 2025 have completed procedures and been licensed for exploitation. The remaining mines are currently mainly carrying out environmental impact assessment procedures to be licensed for exploitation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Son, in the period 2026 - 2030, Ha Tinh has 42 land mines in operation with reserves of 61.92 million m3; 28 rock mines with reserves of 17.95 million m3; 11 sand mines with reserves of 3.74 million m3.
Compared to the forecasted demand, the current soil mines in Ha Tinh meet 80%, stone mines meet 83%, and sand mines meet 29%.
Mr. Son said that currently, although there is still local shortage, soil and rocks are basically temporarily stable compared to demand, while sand is still scarce.
It is expected that in 2026, we will advise on organizing auctions of an additional 10 to 14 conventional construction material mineral mines to supplement the supply in the near future," Mr. Son shared.
Ha Tinh Department of Agriculture and Environment also actively coordinates with businesses that have won auctions for mines in 2025 to continue to accelerate the completion of procedures to soon put mines into operation, meeting the large construction needs in the area, especially many large projects being implemented currently.
