On November 28, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a document to departments, branches, sectors and the People's Committees of 168 wards, communes and special zones, requesting urgent provision of data to serve the construction of the first land price list in the city.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the Heads of Departments, branches, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department and the Chairmen of Ward and Commune People's Committees to seriously implement Official Dispatch 1360/UBND-DT dated August 26, 2025 on providing data and data for the Department of Agriculture and Environment to advise and complete the land price list expected to be applied from January 1, 2026.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested localities to prepare a complete database on land prices, information on successful transactions along each route, road section, location and area, including border points.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently synthesize and complete the draft land price list according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, ensuring progress to promptly submit and apply from the beginning of 2026.
Leaders of departments, branches and localities are responsible to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee if there are delays in the process of developing and announcing the first land price list.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City allocated 19 billion VND to establish a project to build a new land price list. The project aims to investigate, survey and collect information on land prices for each plot, based on the value area and the standard land plot.
The city will determine the type of land, area, location in each commune and ward; compile statistics, classify land plots and evaluate the application of the current price list as a basis for building a new price list.
Investigation work is being carried out throughout the area. The results of the grassroots investigation will be compiled into general data of the City. In total, Ho Chi Minh City will conduct about 27,000 investigation documents on 7,505 routes and road sections.
Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment also proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee allow the development of a land price list according to shortened procedures to meet the set progress.
