In the last days of May, at the ground leveling and technical infrastructure project site of Ban Qua area, Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province, dozens of excavators, trucks and workers were mobilized to continuously construct.
The urgent atmosphere stretches across a large area of dozens of hectares to accelerate the progress of key projects serving the relocation of production facilities from Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park.
Through research, the Project to level the ground and technical infrastructure of Ban Qua area has a total investment of more than 500 billion VND from the State budget, with a scale of about 75ha. Implemented in the period 2025-2026.
The project includes ground leveling, traffic roads, power supply and drainage systems, and many related technical items.
According to reporters' records, many areas on the construction site have been leveled and created ground. Construction teams are divided into each item to take advantage of favorable weather before the rainy season. The sound of machinery operating continuously from morning to afternoon, trucks carrying soil and rocks coming in and out are bustling.
The construction unit, Truong Son Construction Corporation, is mobilizing manpower and vehicles to speed up the workload.
The project has a total area to be recovered of about 74.16ha, mainly rice and rubber land, involving 270 households and 3 organizations. According to the plan, the project will arrange resettlement for about 54 households and implement the relocation of 217 graves.
When completed, this area will serve the arrangement and relocation of 34 production facilities from Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, Lao Cai ward to the new location, contributing to site clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - official of Project Department 1, Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the project was started construction from the end of 2025, and so far the implemented volume has reached over 40%.
Currently, site clearance work still faces certain difficulties. We hope that localities and related units will continue to pay attention and accelerate site clearance progress so that contractors can conveniently construct and ensure project completion according to plan," Mr. Loi said.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is designed in accordance with current construction standards and regulations, in accordance with the approved plan, ensuring technical and aesthetic requirements.
Accelerating the progress of the Ban Qua Industrial Park project is expected to create a new industrial land fund, meeting the requirements of rearranging production facilities, and expanding the local industrial development space in the coming time.
