The Government has just issued Decree No. 217/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Construction Law on construction activity management. The Decree takes effect from July 1, 2026.
Accordingly, Clause 1, Article 66 of Decree 217/2026/ND-CP stipulates that the construction permit issuing agency is responsible for publicly announcing the content of the issued construction permit on its electronic information page within a minimum of 12 months from the date of issuance or extension of the construction permit. Specifically:
Article 66. Publicizing construction permits
1. The construction permit issuing agency is responsible for publicly announcing the content of the issued construction permit on its electronic information page within a minimum of 12 months from the date of issuance or extension of the construction permit.
2. The investor is responsible for publicly disclosing the content of the construction permit issued at the construction site throughout the construction process for organizations and individuals to monitor and supervise according to relevant legal regulations.
According to current regulations, Clause 1, Article 66 of Decree 175/2024/ND-CP stipulates that the construction permit issuing agency is also responsible for publicly announcing the content of the issued construction permit on its electronic information page. However, the provisions in Clause 1, Article 66 of Decree 175/2024/ND-CP do not specify a minimum public disclosure period. Thus, Decree 217/2026/ND-CP has supplemented specific requirements on the public disclosure period, with a minimum milestone of 12 months from the date of issuance or extension of the permit.
